Ripoff, Unprofessional, Waste of Time and Effort

EZrentlist.com is the worst company I have ever done business with. It started as soon as I signed up. The first person I got ahold of on the list they sent me said they had never heard of the company before and that the place had been rented for "months".

After deciding not to move to California from New York, I started to go about trying to get my refund (and after the mandatory three month waiting period). I called the company numerous times trying to get in contact with the refund manager, but I was told everytime that they were away from their desk and would call me back. I never received a call back. This started on April 16.

On my fourth call, I was put through to the refund manager. He said all I had to do was fill out this form and fax it back. The day I finally received the information was April 26. After faxing the forms, I sent an email asking for comfirmation of receipt of the document. I received no reply. After completing that process, he said my refund would be in my account in 3-5 business days.

After almost two weeks, I still had not been credited my refund. I called and after two attempts, was told that I didnt include the necessary forms. On the refund request, there were three locations to read and check. I checked the one stating that I did not use their service and atest to it under penalty of perjury. They told me that this section was not sufficient, eventhough it clearly states that it is on the form.

After the two weeks, I sent in a photo ID and a copy of a pay stub showing my current address and the pay period. This date was May 3. Again I was told 3-5 days for my refund. Two weeks later, no refund.

I called again to find out why, and eventhough the person I spoke with said that is what they were looking for, the person I spoke with this time told me that it had to be a bill with my current address. Again, I faxed over a photo ID and a bill with my current address. I was told 1-2 days for my refund. A week later, no refund.

I called and was told that my refund had been approved and would be credited on June 9. It hadnt. When I called they said that they dont keep credit card numbers on file, which is the only thing I liked up to this point, but they never told me that when I was speaking with them. Apparently I was supposed to magically know that. I sent in my card number and was told that it would be credited in 3-5 days.

On June 19, no refund. I called again. The person I spoke with told me that my refund had been approved and that he didnt know why it was never credited. He said he would take care of it. On June 22, I finally received my credit. The credit, however, was not the 60 dollars that I paid. The credit was only 30 dollars. When I was looking through their website disclaimer and terms of use, nowhere does it say anything about taxes and such that would limit your refund.

Overall, I would highly recommend that NO ONE uses this company for any reason what-so-ever. It was a enormous headache and not a single person that works there is honest.

I have kept documentation of emails and calls once this runaround began. Customers be aware of EZrentlist and Eclassified Conglomerate, Inc.
