Walmart headquarters are setting plans in motion to do away with all full time people and only have "part timers" since the part timers only get benefits after working there for 2 years and most of them never stay that long that way headquarters would save lots of money. This is some sort of major change under way nationwide. Walmart is calling these plans FLIGHTS. They are combining departments and cutting hours. This flight alone will cause even more service problems - as it is now there are very few people who actually do any work in a Walmart store there are many on the payroll but most just wander around doing nothing - GET rid of them.
Department Managers will be the only full time people in their departments - and will have more than one department - Fabrics for example will be combined with furniture and run by one person.
Have you ever tried to get fabric at Walmart? For some of us its the only place in town - This is insane. Have you ever waited to have paint mixed? How long?
I have Walmart stock and will be selling it shortly - as this plan for saving payroll expenses will ruin what little customer service they have.
I complained at my local store and was told to call
1 800- Walmart to voice my opinion.
I heard from another customer that if you call 1-800 Walmart
the store manager is contacted by headquarters and he has to fix the problem, I doubt that he can fix this.
The other FLIGHTS have to do with the way they count their cash registers and how their freight is processed - GREAT more Pallets
in the way.
The stores would not be half bad if they actually trained the people instead of just throwing people into departments.
If they would just hire people to CLEAN the store, esp. The bathrooms.
Oh well, enough - I'm selling my stock and suggest you do the same.
