I have been following my bills very carefully, because I don't want to pay huge charges for going over my limit.
I began to get suspicious when I noticed that I had a ton of one minute calls that did not go to voicemail. I called my own phone and hung up as soon as it answered. 15 seconds. Cingular states that calls over 30 seconds will be billed as one minute.
I did not realize that airtime begins when the phone is ringing. I timed that as well. I have my call timer set for each call on my phone. I have many calls that I made that were for less than ten seconds. I timed the ring times as well. I have spent hours documenting everything and emailing it to customer service rep. Barry Flynn who told me that these were most likely inaccurate charges, but has not contacted me about them.
I am frustrated. I should have stayed with SPRINT! Who ever heard of being charged minutes for calls that are never answered. I canceled my voicemail and keep my phone off most of the time. I am still charged one minute for everytime someone dials my number!
Has this happened to anyone else?
