Cingular has been charging me $2.99 per month for a "Roadside Assistance" program that I never requested. This has been going on since 2004... Shame on me for never staying on hold long enough to get through to a real person but that is besides the fact. I never requested this service.
When I spoke to a rep. There today she told me that she could credit the past 3 months of the charge but could not go back any further because I never disputed it... I pointed out that I also never ordered it or used it! She said that it probably was added to my account as a"free" service for 2 months at which time I was responsible for calling and cancelling it. If I never authorized it I should not have had to call and cancel it???
I also have an issue with my bill being way larger than it should and than what it normally is... Funny how ever since I started having so many dropped calls my bill suddenly became much larger... This is due to the fact that they bill in one minute increments so if I am on a call for 10 seconds and it drops I am then charged for 1 minute. When I call the person back I am then charged for another minute... Kind of like being double billed.
The rep then said all these 1 minute calls are being generated because every time I go near another one of their towers it shows as another minute on the bill???
