I pre-ordered Guild Wars: Factions from my local EBGames outlet, and on the Guild Wars and EBGames website it promised that if I pre-ordered the game that I would receive a pre-order pack with a key that would allow me early access into the game. But I didn't receive this package when I pre-ordered.
I left the store and assumed that since I had pre-ordered 5 weeks early that the packages would be there soon. Well I got back on the internet and read that the pre-order packs had shipped to the retailers as of almost two weeks before I had pre-ordered!
So I went back to the store and asked about this, to which the assistant manager told me that the packs were still in the mail. So I went back home, emailed EBGames support asking why I hadn't recieved the package, and they told me to go back to the store and ask the manager.
I went back to the store, asked the same employee, who was an assistant manager, for the second time now, and he told me that they would all me once the packs were in.
I waited until the day of the pre-release head start event before returning to the store to ask about the status of my pack, since I wanted to give them a little bit of a grace period. The employee, who I had not seen before, told me that to the 100 preorders they recieved, they were shipped only 5 pre-order packages. Which meant that I wasn't going to get one.
So in short, I paid for something, something that was advertised on not only the game creator's website but the retailer's website, and I didn't get it. Now if that it's fraud tell me what is.
