I purchased a new mobile home in 1997 and had to move it this year and I hired Curt's Mobile home Services (owned by Curt Stark) on April 5th & 6th of 2006.
During the move he ran over a drainage ditch which caused the tongue of the mobile home to collapse causing 2 pieces of sheetrock to crumble at the bottom and one piece coming lose. There are several spots where the siding was torn lose from the bolts.
During the move he had 7 blown tires causing 4 windows to break, underbelly getting torn, 1 sheetrock panel to crumble at the bottom and 3 sheetrock panel to come lose
He ran the Mobile home into a fence and cut the plumbing to where in one spot the floor will have to be torn up so the plumbing can be redone.
During the move he keep asking for money so we ended up paying him $650 more than the original quote.
After the home was set back up and tied down, he then told my husband that he would not repair any damage because it was due road damage (or something to the effect) and his insurance would not cover it.
I called the Corporation Commission and found out he does not have any insurance on file and the insurance company he did have cancelled him last year. We can not find where he filed for a permit to move the home.
