Ripoff Dishonest and Fraudulent Billing

As a former Cingular customer of almost two years, I thought my troubles with the company was over when I decided enough was enough and headed to T-mobile. Well I guess I was wrong.

After charging my credit card for an amount over $1800 for cancellation fees and a one month bill, I thought I was done with cingular for life. So tell me why my husband gets a phone call at his job from a collection agency, claiming that we have a bill overdue with cingular and that a payment was mandatory. Keep in mind that they are giving us a random figure that we owed, and never received a bill for. So I figure there was a mistake somewhere, for we were no longer with Cingular and have been with T-mobile all this time.

I called cingular for the first time, only to find that they thought we were still with the company, even thought we had transferred our numbers to T-mobile. So to begin with it would be imposible to have one number carried by two different companies. So with much due apoligies they collected my phone number and I was to receive a phone call from account management or who ever supposed to fix the setuation. A week went and I still haven't heard from anyone from cingular, but my husband was still getting calls at his job.

I called the collection agency who later agreed there was nothing we could do, and that it was all up to cingular to investigate the account and that they would no longer call. Ok so after two weeks not hearing from Cingular, I called again, and spoke to a representative who after 1hour of explaining everything over and over, decided he would make a case for the account and didn't know when they would reply or have the issue resolved.

As of today, I am about to go crazy, and to tell you the truth never want to see another Cingular anything. Today I had to call again as a follow up with the account since its been another two weeks since the case was posted on the account. After going over everything again, as if the case was never put on file, I got transferred, only to have some female tell me that I had two contracts with Cingular!!!

Not only did they not even attempt to resolve the problem, they actually tried to make it seem like I am the one who messed up, and that I still owe $560 something that came out of nowhere. They still could not explain how they can send my account to a collection agency, if there was no bill. Nor could she explain how I can have an active account, when the account is never in use or billed, except for that $560 something bill, that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Today I swore the next time I waste my time trying to work with Cingular will be in court. They have no regards to common courtesy nor respect for their consumers. I can remember one time I actually asked them how they can expect to keep receiving customers when their customer reps were so rude, disrespectful, and not willing to help consumers, and their answer was we have over 50 million customers, its hard to tend, or please everyone. How ridiculous is that?
