I have purchased 2 tv's but have had 4 altogether so far
the first TV I purchased was a 32" jvc if i remeber correctly? It was my first big TV... But it had a problem somtimes while watching it it would turn itself off then turn itself right back on...
So I complained... The Manager at the time was Mark... He gave me all kinds of excuses said i was running to much power on the outlets so I ran it by itself with nothing on that outlet and nothing on in the rest of the house... It still did it... So I complained finally after quite some time i got them to come and pick it up they brought me a loaner...
After a week or two... After they FIRST said they sent it off... And all was good now so they returned it to us... But now it had a scratch on the screen that looked like they forgot to put a blanket in front of the screen before they hauled it back to me...
So I complained and it still turned itself off and on... Then I found out he stuck it on the showroom floor BECAUSE HE (MARK) told me..."it never turned off" for him... I said DUH did you set in front of it and watch it all the TIME "well No" Mark said... Then I repeated. It turns itself off then right back on. If you didnt stand in front of it all day you probably would never notice...
So after a few more months they finally offer me a replacement a 35" rca I said fine the deal was done it was just about paid off and shortly after it was paid off I discovered that the S Video in does not work... Well after all the run around last time I didnt feel like going threw it again and S Video isnt all that great anyway so Ill just eat that problem and I did... Never said anything about it to em whats the use anyway it would be months before they would do anything anyway... So time went on a year or two. Management changed..
Now I was looking for a widescreen to hook up to my computer... I seen Aarons had a Magnavox 26 lcd hdtv with hook ups to be used as a computer moniter... Just what I was looking for...
So I get it bring it home. Its great till I turn it on one day and all I get is Sound no Video... So I turn it off and on a couple of times and the video finally comes on... It does this again and again. So I Complained... So the new manager I dont know his name Yet gives me the paper work that should have come with my TV and tells me to look thru the paper work... And that its something that these tvs just Do Possibly...
So I look thru it all. Nothing in reguards to my problem... So I find the phone number to Phillips Magnavox on the paper work he gave me... I told them my problem and they had me do a RESET PROCEDURE... And then he was going to tell me of a service center to take it to. If that didnt help. BUT there are none very close Evidentally...
So ya the TV does it again so I COMPLAIN... This time it only takes a couple of months and they get me a replacment in an opened Box I guess i should have checked it before I left Aarons...
I opened the box when i got home and the screen had a silver dollar sized circle in the lower left corner no Big deal I guess but IT IS A BLEMISH and Im paying twice the price for a new TV with a BLEMISH I dont think I will... So Im off to complain Agian...
Does it ever end i dont think it will... I think they only get blems and other defective merchandise and sell it as new to unsuspecting consumers next stop the better business bureau
