We have Sprint PCS for cell phone service. An advertising gimmick that they have is after 18 months of having the same phone, you can get $150 off a new phone upon signing up for a new two year contract.
We went to purchase our new phones (2 of them), and sent in the required rebate information/receipts. Later we got postcards back saying that our rebates were denied because we had changed PHONE NUMBERS during the previous 18 months.
No where in that information does it say A THING about not being able to change phone numbers. Now, my husband is active duty in the Air Force and we were moved across the country.
I went in to visit the Sprint Store in Lakewood, Washington (at the Lakewood Towne Center). The manager there said, "oh, that's why - because you moved. I'll get this straightened out right away and credit your account $150 one month then $150 the next month". I thanked them and left.
Our next bill came, and the credit hadn't appeared on our bill, I figured it would show up on the next bill, so I waited. It did not.
SO I called the Sprint Store in Lakewood, and while the manager was there, she couldn't talk to me, so I was told she would call me back. She never did call me back.
Finally (after a few weeks) I went back to the store to speak to the manager. Well, she was there, but in the back and UNAVAILABLE. I told them I needed to speak with her immediately. That I had already been waiting several months to get this taken care of. They told me sorry, it's just not possible.
SO I told them to give me the district manager's phone number (if the store manager wasn't going to talk to me, I would get the district manager to help me). The lady told me she couldn't give out that information. I told her she needed to get it to me. So she said she would need to go into the back and ask the manager if she could.
She came back and handed me a piece of paper with the STORE manager's phone number on it and TOLD me it was the DISCTRICT manager's number. I was SO frustrated, I had to leave.
Then my husband called the store and told them that the manager needed to call me. So later that day, I was sitting at the computer with my phone sitting right in front of me... And a message came in. There was no ringing phone... She just called into my voice mail (with no return phone number) and left a message. Had she actually called, I would have been able to talk to her.
SO I listened to my message, she said she was going to look into it, and that she didn't remember me coming in the very first time and never received any messages to call me. She said she would take care of it and get back to me - one month later - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I'm left still waiting.
