I was solicited at my place of business by Jay Widgore and his associate trainee back in august. They claimed that they both worked for merchant services and leased credit card equiptment thru northern leasing. They both made claims on how much money they could save me over my current credit card processing company. They insisted on seeing my current lease and promised that if I was to go with their company that they would release my current equiptment to one of their customers Jay proceeded to inform me how, that for around $80 I could get the proper re - leasing paper work from my current credit card company, sign off on it and that they would assume my prior equiptment and lease it to one of their customers, they also stated that a lady named Judy who worked for their company handled all re-leasing and had me contact her. I proceeded to lease with them, and contacted Judy at their office asap, she helped me with all the info needed to obtain the releasing paper work required, and then she requested that when I recieved it to bring it to their office. It took a couple of months to recieve the re-leasing paperwork but when it arrived I personally delivered it to their office, I met Mr. Widgore outside their office and he told me to give it to the office secretary at the front desk. I did what he said and she told me that she would put the re-leasing paperwork in my company file and she would let Judy know that they had recieved them. I asked he how long it usually takes to transfer the lease since I was now paying and being charged for two terminals and complete service. She told me to give them about 30 days and I told her thank you and to have Judy please call me and keep me updated. Well it has now almost been a year and they have not done a thing with it. I have and continue to make numerous calls and requests to only be treated rudely and with no response from Judy or Mr. Widgore. Last month I filed a complaint against them with the BBB but they only proceeded to lie and minupliate the system even claiming that they show and have no record of any transfer paper work. I called the BBB and checked on their statis concerning claims filed against this company, they have had numerous complaints against them and the BBB sits buy and justifies it all. On Dec. 2-05, I recieved a letter from the BBB telling me that they have now closed the file and that I need to pursue legal action against their member to resolve this matter. Also included in the letter was another response from a Susan Council, Customer Relations Manager for merchant services, still denieing recieving any transfer paper work and now wanting me to contact a Mr. Les Mersky who is now more than willing to work with me to research any and all issues in regaurds to the transfer of my lease. Well once again I am still stuck between a rock and a hard place, on Dec 16 05 I called to speak with Mr Mersky and was once met again with the same mean rude and condesending screening process from the secretary she would not let me speak to Mr Lesky she proceeded to make snide rude comments etc. And finally took my phone number. I waited for 3 days and no call back. So I called again to only get their answering machine. And they will not even give you a chance to leave a message it cuts you off after 3 words. My last resort before court will to be reporting them to the attorney generals office and the consumer fraud division. Thank you all we need to alert business owners to protect them from these criminals and their practices.
