DirectTV ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

I had DirecTV service at my home, I moved and had the service put on hold until I got my new place. After moving in I tried to get the started a gain. The landlord said NO. I informed them of this and told them the date my lease was up there. They automatically start charging me at the same address they knew I couldn't have the service after that date. I moved in with my parents and didn't need the service at any address yet.

I phoned customer service in August and was told It's unfortunate but I have to pay regardless. I never had the dish at the address they are charging me for. Furthermore, I was not living at the address at time of charges. I wrote the company and never heard anything from them. Now they have placed the account in collection.

I tried the BBB, here's the Company's Response 12-19:

We apologize for the misunderstanding. We show that on November 20 you contacted DIRECTV in regards to moving at the time we explained we had a moving program that made it very easy to transfer service. You stated that you would use movers program once you were ready in the mean time you suspended your account from November 29 to May 1. On May 1 service was reactivated automatically as we had told you it would and billing began again for service. When you contacted us on August 15 we agreed to disconnect account and issue credit for 30 days of service as a courtesy you accepted offer. Remaining charges are valid and will remain on account until paid we already issued credit that was accepted by you no further credit will be applied to your account. The balance now on account is $78.90 and will need to be paid for the account to be removed from collections.

I didn't accept anything, one month was all they would remove from my account. That's why I wrote the company because I didn't agree. I couldn't inquire sooner to the bill; they sent it to the wrong address. I gave them the correct address when I called them after the bill finally made it to me 3 to 4 months after they start billing me. The way I see it no one should have to pay for service not rendered.

This is by far the worse company I've ever had to deal with.
