Appox. 5-6 months ago my wife purchased 1 pair of blue dress pants for our son. We brought the pants to Cleaners at Nor Du Lac for hemming/alteration. The pants went into our son's closet with the cleaning wrap and all purchasing tags still affixed. While going through our son's closet looking for dress clothes for Christmas my wife found the pants. She took the cleaners plastic off and noticed a red pencil mark on the pants. My wife then attempted to rub the mark off with her finger. When this was done it appeared that the pants were either burned or chemically burned while at the cleaners.
Remember they went from Old Navy to the cleaners only and they were never worn. My wife brought the pants to the cleaners and spoke with the owner who was quite rude and accusatory to my wife. He made no offer of restitution and suggested that we bring back to Old Navy since we had the original tags still affixed. My wife explained that Old Navy really was not liable as she would not have bought a damaged pair of pants and that the damage clearly happened at the cleaners. Needless to say the owner would not budge which really is disappointing.
We have used this cleaner for many alterations and spend many dollars in his establishment over 2 years which obviously meant nothing to this business owner. We were only asking for replacement cost no more or less. I feel that this is a fair request and feel that the owner was not being responsible for his establishment's workmanship. If this is not addressed I will surely tell everyone I come into contact with not to use this Cleaners and will share my story.
