I am a new Direct TV customer. When I signed up for service in September, I was entitled to 4 FREE months of their Total Choice Premier programming. Imagine my surprise in October to be billed $62.49 for NFL Sunday Ticket 2005. I did not order this. I hate football.
I called to discuss this and was told I had to pay for it if I wanted Total Choice Premier for free. I told them that was false advertising and to take it off my bill. I had to speak to a manager, who stated he took it off.
This month, I find it on my bill again, and the charges for for NFL Sunday ticket still on from last month. This is a lie. Direct TV customers are told they get FREE programming for 4 months, but really do not. I was told it was removed, it was not.
I have contacted my FL State Department of Consumer Affairs and they directed my complaint to the California Consumer Affair office, siting they have no jurisdiction.
I have contacted the FCC. They denied any ability to help.
Doesn't someone else out there have this complaint?
