Direct TV has some of the worst business values as a company. They claim good customer services, but they screw you every chance they get. This latest scam has to do with their promotions.
I signed up for direct tv last year for 2 reasons. They offered 5 months free of their football sunday ticket and HD access free for life. The only stipulation is you had to have choice extra or above, auto bill pay, and an HD receiver. After the sunday ticket I called in to drop down from the premium to the choice extra. The guy I talked to promised me I would keep all the discounts.
Two months later I noticed they removed the HD access free for life. When I called in they said "sorry about that, we have added it back on"... Next month still nothing. I call back in and they say it looks like there has been a credit applied to your account. Lie... Next month I call back in and someone tells me that I have to have choice ultimate to have that package.
