After 2 years at West I have seen just about all it takes to know of the corruption withing building 8000, led by der furher Kathy Quinby. Something can be said for the huge corporations that outsource jobs to companies like West. Obviously huge corporations could care less for their customers, so the heck should West care about their employees. But that is a bigger problem that cannot be tackled by consumer complaintss alone. The situation I was put in was with the SBC project that was outsourced to West. Let's start with constant fear mongering on the behalf of the supervisors there. Everyday we were in constant fear of losing our jobs. The management team was headed by branch manager Lisa Morales. This woman had no control over the floor and would rarely address the reps on the floor. She knew nothing of the projects and would not listen to feeback from reps. But this isn't really any different from any other project at West.
One day I am called into the office. They have a screenshot that shows me using a computer program that displays the hours I have worked for the day. Lisa goes on to tell me that I am abusing company property by doing this (even though our supervisors never give us our hours and if we ask for them they use the same program to give us those hours). This combined with the fact that I am not logging my calls fast enough make the situation "unavoidable" (her words) and that she has no choice but to fire me. Boom just like that. I gave them a piece of my mind before I left and honestly I am glad I don't have to put up with those idiots any longer.
But, the fact remains that they hire anybody and because they hire anybody everybody is expendible even a good rep like me who was there for 2 years. So Lisa if you happen to read this or if anyone at West reads this, West is a joke and you should do yourself a favor and get a real job. Lisa I hope you feel good about yourself and your pitiful little mind. I hope when you sleep you feel good about all that power you have at such a corrupt business like west. And if Mr. Luis Nieto is reading this or hears about it, do yourself a favor and grow a backbone and I hope Marcus is doing OK.
Again the corruption and business practices are corrupt through and through. From the lack of training, to the sexual exploitation, to the constant taking adavantage of older customers, especially on SBC. Slamming is no joke. People are slammed all the time and sometimes it is even pushed by managers. Slamming is a technique of "selling" a product without the customer's authorization. So if anyone is reading this with clout, shut that place down.
