I hired Mr. Stovall on the 4th of January. After hiring Mr. Stovall as my attorney, I noticed a slight change in service. I was unable get in touch with Mr. Stovall to discuss my case and so on. I try visiting the office several times and still could not get a hold of Mr. Stovall. He failed to return my calls and begin to mishandle my case. Even though I specifically requested Mr. Stovall to represent me only, I noticed that he was sending Patrick Schemes to represent me most of the time. Mr. Stovall service got very poor, it seems to me that Mr. Stovall was only after the money and not about providing good service. Mr. Stovall failed to notify me of my court date on March 11th; neither did he show up to represent me as his client which caused a warrant to be issued against me. On the 6 of April I was arrested and locked up for his failure to attend court. On August 13th Mr. Stovall refuse to take my case to trial after failure to notify me 60 days in advance as stated on the contract that the case was to be taken to trial. Due to his failure to notify me in advance, I am unable to afford the trial fee of requested by him. After revealing to Mr. Stovall that I could not afford the amount requesting, he threatened to withdraw from my case as he said he could not postpone the case anymore. After his withdraw from my case on Monday august 15th I will be left without lawyer to represent me before the court of law.
On August 16th I requested Mr. Stovall and his associates to withdraw from both of my remaining cases. They did filed motions on the 18th as oppose to on the 17th as they told me. There was no response from the judge on both motions. Now on august 25th Mr. Stovall continued to have Patrick Schrems represent me after being notified in a letter I wrote him stating that I do not want Mr. Schrems handling my trial. Mr. Stovall poor excuse for not being at my trial was that he was to be escorting his daughter for the first day of school. I believed I asked Mr. Stovall before the 25th to postpone or delayed the trial so that he could be present at my trial. His respond was a NO. At court awaiting my trial, my family and I questioned Mr. Schrems why he wanted to do a judge trial as opposed a jury trial. He stated He's going to get whacked anyway you put it, judge or jury trial He acted very unprofessional and went on to mention that he don't care, and all he care about is the money. I personally feel like I hire Mr. Stovall to represent me as my attorney but rather left me in the middle of nowhere. I feel that I was rip off for my money and was left with nothing. No men should be treated this way no matter what the color of their skinned is for that matter. His comments were very racist, biased and disgusting. Throughout the conflict and misunderstanding, I felt like I was treated this way because of my race, age, gender and my ethnic background. The juries don't care about you, your young and black who are they going to believe. The line above was also comment of Mr. Schrems. I believed his purpose of being there was to intentionally lose my case rather that fighting to defend me as client..
Mr. Stovall and Mr. Patrick Schrems failed to prepare the case to go to trial. There was no preparation or whatsoever. They failed to notified me of what type of trail was to be held, and refuse to notified me of the trial fee 60 days in advance as stated in the contract. What I want to see happen is justice. I would like my complaint to look at very carefully. Through out the entire process, I was very dissatisfied with Mr. Stovall service and I think I should be entitled to a portion of my money. Mr. Stovall is selfish and a money hungry attorney that has no respect or whatsoeve
