I bought a Boston Terrier puppy from Donna Arnold just a few weeks ago. My husband and I had it planned to receive the puppy on September 11 for quite a while. I would say about two months. Donna stated that she would not have a problem getting the puppy to us on that date.

We live in California and that is why we needed to get her shipped. Donna said that she would not be able to get a ticket for the puppy until the 1st of Sept. So, we waited and waited and then finally, Donna says that the airlines will not ship the puppy because it is too hot.

That is a legitimate excuse, I know. But, the thing I don't understand is that she said the puppy could be shipped the day before, but not that Sunday?

So, Donna offered us a refund twice and I kept telling her that we can work something out. I then proceed to tell her that I will take her on that Saturday, the 10th. Everything is set and ready to go for me to get her on the 10th.

That morning, I check my email and Donna says that the airlines postponed her flight until the original date that we wanted to ship her anyway. I do not understand how this would have happened because somehow, the airlines got changed from American to United Express. Now, explain to me how that works. I have never had that happen with a regular plane ticket, so why would it happen with a puppy?

Donna then tells me that she is going to ship the puppy on the 11th, but does not know what time yet. I said that was fine and then she later emailed me and told me the puppy would be here at 11:02. She did not state AM or PM. I am in the military and I have a stringent working schedule and I must get up very early in the morning, so I emailed Donna and told her that if it was at 11:02 PM, that I would not be able to get the pup.

She emailed me back and said it was 11:02 PM and I told her that I wanted to take her up on the refund now. She asked how much I wanted back and I told her all $700.00. She said that she would not be able to do that and she would have to talk to her husband about it. I waited for five hours for her to call me back and she FINALLY emailed me and said she would give me back $250.00!

Now, I don't know about you, but I think that it ridiculous! I spent my money on the dog and now I don't have anyting to show for it. We finally ended up working it out that the dog would get here the following Saturday, the 18th. But, not before she emailed my husband (while he is deployed) and told him that I am irresponsible and we do not deserve to be getting one of her puppies and so on and so forth.

Donna is not a pleasant person to work out any situation with and even worse to have to talk to. She is completely rude and will not be honest about anything.

I got the puppy on the 18th and then I found out, that day, that my puppy is missing two of her toes. Donna had never once told me that anything was wrong with my $700.00 puppy. Now, what if I would have wanted to showcase my dog? I can no longer do that and my money was wasted.

I thought that breeders were supposed to be honest and let you know if something was wrong with a dog that you are buying. I am writing this to let everybody know that if they are looking to buy a dog, that they really need to research the person they are buying from. They need to make sure that everything is ok with the puppy and that the person they deal with is normal. Thanks for reading!
