I was charged with a crime and retained Mr. Barry Bernstein to represent me because of his website and speaking with Art Cortez which advertises that he has 40 years of experience. When I spoke and met with his case manager Art Cortez and explained the charges to him, he went on and on and told me how good Mr. Barry Bernstein is at achieving results, and his trial experience and his ability to win cases after cases. First of all I never meet Mr. Bernstein I was told that he was very busy and in trail.
Soon after he had my money, he then stated to me he could do nothing for me and that I was going to jail. Mr. Bernstein never met with me to prepare me for trial, never provided disclosure, and never brought my files I requested. He showed up each for court each day and did not say a word to me. To make a long story short, I dismissed my original attorney and paid $70,000 for Mr. Barry Bernstein's services. He would send a substitute attorney to represent me who had only been practicing law for 4 years. I ended up with a worse outcome then my first attorney had already achieved.
Mr. Barry Bernstein's office would not respond to my phone calls or emails requests for information about my case, I was told by Art Cortez that I was the worse client they had because I would not give more money this is immoral and unethical conduct for criminal defense attorney. Don't hire the services of barry o. Bernstein to represent you!!!
