Ripoff charging $100 extra for wrong information wrong billing Bellevue Washington

After 2 yrs of my business to them they are ripping me off.

My billing cycle starts on 4th of every month. I called verizon wireless on july 15th to cancel my account, they said I used 415 minutes and my monthly free air time is only 400 minutes and if I cancel it now I have to pay a prorated charge for the 10 days. I wil be allowed only 155 minutes for the 10 days and remaining I have to pay 45 cents per minute.

They said instead I can suspend the phone till my next billing cycle and cancel it from Aug 4th in that way I will get to have my 400 air time minutes and I will only pay $39.99 plus taxes and for my extra 15 minutes. From the next billing cycle my phone will get disconnected.

Now they say I have to pay $133.45 prorated charges, as even suspending account I will be prorated. I don't understand what to do.

If I have to pay that much amount why will i suspend my account? I will simply off my cell phone and keep it with me till next billing cycle and cancel it. I don't understand what to do. The Customer service representatives don't know anything? For their mistake why will I pay? Is there a way to fight with my credit card company? Have to see what to do for their bad business.
