I just moved to my address about three weeks ago, and as usual, the previous tenants mail always seems to continue coming to the new address &
I, trying to be a helpful person to Dish Network, called their 800 number to let them know that the individual they are sending bills to, does not live at this address, so that they could reroute the mail to where-ever else they may seem proper - Not Something I Had to do, but many companies are thankful for folks calling in, because 9 times out of 10, the companies has no clue that their customer skipped out on them..
Nevertheless, the lady asked me to give her the account number from the mail and I did... She then proceeded to call me Ms Collins and tell me that I needed to pay my bill!!! I said, "Lady, I am not this individual, I was just calling as a helpful citizen to let you know your billing the wrong address" and she proceeded to call me a damn liar and told me to pay my bill or else!
Holy Crap! I asked to speak to a supervisor and the woman asked me why — and I told her to lodge a complaint - then she hung up on me!!!
Hmmm... When I called back a little heated, the next person put me through the same line of questioning and then a long sales pitch! Well, the sales pitch ended up being a great deal asking me to pay the same exact amount as the bill of the last person plus a 49.99 install fee, plus a couple of hundred dollars to buy their boxes!!!
Ok... So... I told them that I was not interested in paying such money and I was told, "Well Pay your bill anyway!" Boy if this doesn't beat all!!!
From this point, I hope that every Echo Star Dish Network Customer Skips out of them & It really would not matter, some other customer is gonna get hit with your bill when they acquire service through them!
Bad customer service and dishonest as well!!! Wow!!
