I purchased a teacup Yorkie that was a big problem. It got sick as soon as I brought him home. I was told to feed the puppy anything that it likes. McDonalds, french fries, anything that he will ingest.
I had the puppy back and forth to Merrifield and and the vet on numberous ocasions. The puppy would what they called "crash" over and over again from low blood sugar.
I finally got fed up and demanded my money back. I did not want a sick puppy that costed me 1500.00 and alot of heartbreak. They would not give me my money back, but came with a van to pick up the puppy. I was devistated.
They wanted to replace the puppy, but by then, I didnt want anything to do with them. I contacted lawyers and CBS news to report what I went thru hoping possibly they would help me.
No way did they even consider paying my vet bills or giving me my money back, so they eventually got me another puppy, who turned out to be phsyco.
To make a long story even shorter, nobody helped me and the lawyers felt that they didnt think they could help me either. I must say though, I am soooo glad to hear that Merrifield can no longer sell puppies. They were horrible to me and did not act at all professional.
If you can use my story (which is longer than I was able to put into a letter), I would be glad to participate.
