Com Ed is the local electric utility in Chicago. They routinely have power blackouts, and have paid off local politicians (Or contributed to their campaigns) in order to hold the people of Illinois hostage.
My electric bill in the three years I have lived at my house has been between $60.00 and $140.00 a month. This month it was $361.00. When I called they said to re-read the meter, we did and they said it was fine.
Now I wonder how a 1200 SF house in a neighborhood of similiar houses, none of whom experienced this "jump" can manage to generate such a bill? Evidently the morons at Com Ed can't explain it either, but I still have to pay it because thanks to Illinois sorry, thieving useless government we are held captive by greedy corporations like Com Ed.
I am asking anyone who can to find and publish the home addresses and phone numbers of Com Eds officers, so that the people of Illinois can call them directly and ask why we are being ripped off.
In the meantime I will continue to write to every media outlet I can find, and push for legislation that will not allow for greedy corporate monopolies like Com Ed to bully whole sections of our country.
