After seeing ads for DishNetwork on TV and the internet, I called for service. When the service was installed, instead of the free services that were advertised, I was immediately billed 69.98 to my debit card, then 12.54, and finally 67.68. All charges to my debit card, which I did not authorize, except for the 12.54. Which I understood to be taxes.
When I contacted DishNetwork I made it very clear that I was disabled and on a fixed income, and that about $31.00 a month was what I could afford, and would pay. My understanding was that the amount would work.
Subsequent efforts to get Dish Network to cancel my account and pick up their equipment have been refused silently. They will NOT pick up their equipment, and refuse to cancel the acct..
So far as I am concerned the very first billing to my debit card was a violation of my contract, and billing me for about $150.00 was just plain blatantly absurd. Especially after I made it abundantly clear that I was disabled and on a fixed income.
