I received this "winning" letter from a local car dealer. I usually throw them away, but something made me read it. Next time I will go with my usual throwing away routine! I supposedly won something. I called first, because I didn't want to waste my time. He assured me it wasn't a gimmick, that you do win. The way the letter was it seemed I had won the $5,000. When I asked about it the ad company rep said "it's a way to get you to come it". I can't believe they'd approve of this business, which is clearly a scam! I'll be posting one with the car dealer's name on it also.
Anyways I go to the site tonight and start to notice how expensive the shipping & handling is. I put 3 items in my cart that I know I've seen at Target/Wal-Mart, those 3 items was a plastic golf thing and 2 trading spaces redesign rooms. All those items together would cost around $30-$40. My total a whooping $134, but since that was free cause I had won $1,000 shopping spree, I would pay only s&h. Folks the shipping & handling came to $53! How in the world would 3 little items cost $53 to ship!
I thought it would be one s&h price for the whole thing. The ad company rep told me like that. He said "so if you buy diamond earrings, you'd only pay the s&h which wouldn't be much cause they are small". Um first where are there any "diamond" earrings on there!?! There are 100% cz ones, which are like $9.95 to ship. Do they not know you can buy those at any discount store for $9.95 and not have to wait the 2-6 weeks delivery time?
If I pay that much s&h I'd think I was getting it overnight!
So what I'm guessing is, if I bought enought things to be worth $1,000 they'd cost me close to $1,000 to ship!
