Ripoff for insurance claims

I bought two items through ebay that were being shipped from Germany and paid for insurance coverage for shipping. When items arrived they were broken. I filed claims through local post office with help from postmaster to make sure they were done correctly. He kept broken items in their packages at post office.

For almost two years I repeatedly sent copies of claims, passed back and forth emails. New York after 6 months, decided they had 6 months prior put payment off on post office in Germany. So, I sent copies over and over to both New York and Germany. I finally had person I bought from contact German post office who sent a letter stating that funds had been sent to New York for payment to me. I sent again this letter and all other claim information to New York International claims department. I repeatedly contacted them to pay me the funds. I was never paid, nor contacted further to help me.

The items were insured for $250 each package. The local post office finally asked me to pick up the packages that they had been storing for year and half.

I will never ship anything again from overseas and insure through the United States Postal Service.
