Last year we rented a 10x30 storage unit at the Novi, MI Premium Self Storage location. When it came time to vacate, the manager Jerry specifically said he would pro-rate the rent until the end of the month. I asked him specifically if I would receive a proration back on my rent. He said he was absolutely sure I would and not to worry about it.
The amount I was due back was approximately $90. Our dues we're $270 a month and werer always paid on time at the beginning of the month. We vacated 11 days early and because of this proration, we decided to rush and move out earlier. I moved out on December 20 and I have not received any money back for the final 11 days in which we did not use the unit.
I have contacted this location several times in an attempt to get my pro-rated money back and each time they have said they would get back with me, and never have. Now 7 months later I'm still waiting for my $90 I am due back. If I was not told that I would be receiving this money back, I would have stayed in the unit unit the end of the month!
