Ripoff repackage used items and resell as new

I bought a 5 disc dvd changer from BestBuy, the player didnt work so within 40 minutes of purchase. I went back up to BB for an exchange.

They asked me what was wrong with it. I said 2 things, 1. The color is not what it said on the box and 2. It doesnt work. After a minute they pointed out that is was not the model that was on the recipt and would not refund or exchange it.

One salesmen said i dont think we ever carried that model. After spending 10 min of yelling and 1.5 hrs on the phone with the manufacture of the dvd player and bestbuy-coporate, i still didnt get any help and am now stuck with a broken player and out of money.

This was pupposed to be a NEW item and i beleve it to be a used item, repackaged (in the wrong box) and sold as new.
