We got Cingular wireless in September of last year and we moved on a military post shortly thereafter, and I wouldn't get a reception in my home. I called customer service and she said that they had two towers on post and I should be able to get a signal. I told her that I am in the street right as we speak and thats the only way I can get two bars or so, so I can use my phone. I asked if we could cancel becasue it doesn't make sense for us to be paying 80-90 dollars a month for a phone that we can't hardly use.
Then she follows with, sorry but we do not guarantee service inside buildings, so therefore I can't cancel your plan. I was outraged by this time, it just makes no sense I don't know how these companies rip people off and get away with it.
New problem arose on Mar. I pay about 86-90 dollars monthly since Sept 04 and my recent bill is 3081.61. I was about to have a heart attack, I was shaking and of course couldn't find the number of customer service fast enough to save my life. I called and they said it must have been a mistake so they have to submit a form called Cap Form to another department and they will call me in 5-7 days.
On the 8th day, which was today I called because I haven't received a response. They said that in their system is says that the calls were long distance so therefore this is my true bill. I told them that on the bill itself it says roaming charges and these same numbers that are being billed haven't been charged as a roaming call. Not to mention I have a free roaming and free roaming long distance as part of my National Plan.
Right now I have to wait again for 5-7 days so they can resubmit the Cap Form due to the fact that I was never charged long distance roaming before.
I can't wait for our contract to be through in or have a way out that will not be charged. I really hate Cingular. One more thing I have friends with other companys that can use their cell phones in my house and why not Cingular Wireless.
