I first moved to FLorida on the beginning of September. My first job was a small telemarketing company in Longwood Florida. I worked there for about 3 weeks. I worked extremely long shifts, 8am to 8pm just about every day. They did not pay me overtime, and in the end they fired me, changed my payscale from $7.00 and hr and payed me my last 2 weeks at 5.15 an hr. Let me tell you from the 2nd of October to the 9th, I worked a total of 52 hrs. (Including overtime) I was payed $164. The next week of pay was from the 12th to the 15th, where I worked a total of 29 hrs. I recieved a paycheck of $48. My time cards were completely wrong, and they had had me clock my overtime hours on the BACKSIDE. They refused to give me my time card, and gave me a copy of only the front side. (refused to give a copy of the backside.) A friend of mine name Gina also worked there. On Gina's time card, her signature was NOT on this time card, someone else wrote in her name AND her times. Half of the times on the time card that she had clocked in on were CROSSED off. Something else was writting over these times and was not initialed by her. They refused to pay her also. When she went in to dispute this in a calm manner, they kicked her out. At this point I called the FLorida Department of labor. I spoke to a nice lady named Mrs. Brooks. Mrs. Brooks called Andrew Dorko, the owner Unique marketing, and he told her he was sending a check to me with the money he owed me. I figured since my new job was right near there, I would stop by and get it. When I got there, he KICKED ME OUT and said he didnt owe me ANYTHING. At this point I called Mrs. Brooks with the labor department, and let her speak with them. Mr Andrew Dorko refused to speak with her, instead he put his assistant Charles on the phone. They lied to Mrs. Brooks and told her they sent out proof by fax that they didn't owe anything. Mrs. Brooks asked them to fax this over again. THEY THEN ASKED FOR HER FAX NUMBER! If they faxed it to her wouldnt you think they would have the fax number? They lied. What their whole scam was was that they told the labor department they were going to send out the check to keep themselves out of trouble, even thought they never had any intention of sending this check. They were caught off guard when I showed up there and were extremely upset and nervous about me going there. Anyways, was never paid by the strenuous work efforts I put in for this company, and furthermore, DO NOT WORK FOR ANDREW DORKO!!! Other employees of his that I had kept in contact with stated he would not pay them either. Also, his telemarketing practices are all lies. I do not know charles last name but I can describe him, he usually works hand in hand with ANDREW DORKO and is a tall black man with no front teeth. Little do they know I will see them in court. Also ANDREW DORKOs name and adress of company has been reported to the better business bureau. (Surprise! They are in bad standings wth the BBB too!) He has negatives with the department of labor, and I will be notifying the state attorny general as well. ANDREW DORKO needs to be STOPPED FROM RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!! He genrally works in longwood Florida and when I worked there he sold NEW ROCHELLE TELEPHONE PACKAGES. He also did Amendment 3 and E-Lec communications. If you are a current user of NEW ROCHELLE TELEPHONE CANCEL YOUR SERVICES! New Rochelle is out of New York, and I am planning on notifying them as well. If Mr Dorko is willing to rip off his own employees, he will surely rip off his customers as well! That man named Charles e-mail adress is [email protected]. Watch out for these scam artists! I will now proceed to notifying New Rochelle of New York.
