I had went to the Ridge Apartments in prospect of an apartment. I had told Nicole that works in the office that I did not have rental history and she told me that I could have my aunt that I was living with write out a letter stating that I was living there with her and how much rent I was paying.
So I went with what Nicole had said and I had obtained a letter from my aunt and brought it in with my filled out application and $35 aplication fee.
I was then called back by Jerry that works in the office telling me that this was NOT true what I was told by Nicole, and I was NOT entitled to my $35 dollars back. Jerry also told me that Nicole was new and came from another apartment complex and she did not know the rules of this complex. But I beleive if they have someone working in the office that is giving misleading information and/or advice, money should be due back to the potential consumer and/or renter. I feel that I was lied to and totaly mislead.
If I was able to have the letter accepted I would have been approved for the apartment. I feel I should receive my money back due to the false pretence of being able to have the letter written.
