Doing my Christmas shopping I found an item that I wanted to purchase and YAY it was on sale according to the sticker on the shelf! Went through checkout and the item rang up the original price. I told the cashier who the called back to sporting goods. The lady in sporting goods removed the tag from the shelf and brought it to customer service for them to adjust the price. C.S. Said they needed manager approval because it was a $20 difference. When the manager Robyn (sp) came up she told me that they would not sell it for the sale price that was on the shelf. I asked why not and she told me that for all she knew I found the price tag and put it there myself. I told her how wrong she was and that they should honor the price that was marked, and obviously put there by one of their associates. She still refused. I used to shop at Meijer all the time. Probably $400 between groceries and fuel for 2 trucks in a week. Not anymore. I gave her my cart of groceries and left the store. I will gladly give target and Jewel my business and my money before being treated like that again.
