Horror story!
My brand-new Dynadock port replicator failed within a day. Unfortunately, I had discarded the box it came in. Newegg's "Customer Service" directed me to an online troubleshooter who told me (for $38) to order another one, then send the defective on back in the box the new one came in.
The new one didn't work either, so I hired an IT guy (for $100) to troubleshoot it for me. The problem was a defective cable, the one that came with the original unit. I sent the defective unit, cable and all, back in the new packaging (at UPS, for $9.67).
Newegg reject the return because the serial number on the unit did not match the serial number on the box. So I'm out $328 for two units, $38 for the bad advice, $100 to identify the defective cable, and $9.67 to send it back. $475.67 for one lousy port replicator!
