They sold me defective Ram so I had to return via their RMA system. Once I waited the time listed plus— I tried to look into it. Theres no answer at [email protected], [email protected] or direct to CSA address? No phone calls returned as promised?
Once I finally made it through the lengthy phone hold again to get a human and insisted the problem be fixed, I was told my refund would be credited back to my credit card within 2-3 days and received an apology (I mean lie / brush off). I am now 14 days later and no refund? Then they said just wait a couple more weeks as our RMA dept is "buried" (I suspect this is also a lie / brush off). However if true, a buried RMA department says it all!
Newegg.com charges a 15% percent fee on all returns, even defects.
NewEgg.com TOS in RMA email state: "An RMA does not extend your thirty day warranty. Your thirty day warranty is only valid starting from the original delivery date."
(Since it certainly takes more than 30 days to get a replacement, if the second unit is also defective I guess you have to eat it.)
I have waited 7 times and counting the "waiting" time listed on the RMA info page.
NewEgg.com website invites customer input, but limits it to "positive" encounters editing any negative posts. Check it out for yourself - You can not post a negative remark on their "testamonials" board. Useless! Don't be influenced by all the positive posts you find as newegg.com stacks the deck. Don't risk ending up with nothing but abuse after sending off your cash as I have. The only way I'll shop newegg.com is if they send me the product first and I can test it. This is reasonable given their history with me!
