I purchased a Soleus dehumidifier in the spring of 2012 and used it for 5 months during the summer season. Then I stored it empty in a controlled temperature environment. I didn't need it again until this summer. When I fired it up, the fan still runs, so it seemed like it was working... But it's not. It doesn't remove ANY moisture. Even though I only used the product for 5 months, it was technically out of warranty by the time I figured out that the product was no longer working. I wrote a letter to Soleus, but they didn't bother to reply. So they get an "F" for an inferior product, and another "F" for customer satisfaction. I bought my unit at Lowes and paid $149 for a product that only performed 5 months... So this purchase was a MAJOR rip off! Other customers are reporting similar experiences, so this is apparently a typical problem for this brand. BUYER BEWARE indeed. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my hard earned money on such an inferior product!!!
