Customer service is evasive/product specifications not consistent

Case # 34241.

For the past 4 weeks I have made many calls to Soleus and iallergy to determine if the 70 pint dehumidifier I purchased is working properly.

I had been told by 2 different Soleus employees that it was built for a space max of 800 square feet. Joe at iallergy told me that Soleus (the manufacture) doesn't know what they are talking about and that they could handle a much larger space (up to @3400 sq ft).

I asked him to verify with the manufacture and he told me last week Friday that he had not heard back after leaving a message a week prior. I also spoke to Cindy last Friday she told me that they can handle a 1300 sq ft basement. Today she told me that she does not know and the # that she gave me last week was something like a guess?

She told me that upper management is the only one who has that information and that I had to email because you will not talk to customers.

What size room is this dehumidifier built to handle???

There is also great confusion about if the fan turns off when it reaches the desired humidity. One person at Soleus told me yes, 2 others told me no... Never, only when the bucket is full. Cindy is one of those people. Joe at iallergy again adamantly says it does turn off.

Your answer please - is it supposed to stay on always until it is full or is it supposed to turn off???

Consumers have the right to know what they are buying and it's not supposed to be so difficult or so frustrating or be subject to argument.
