On 12/13/04 I received by mail a Delinquent Child Support Notice of Levy on a Debtor's Assets letter. Of course, I call my support agent and ask her what the problem was. Her name is Kristin. She works for the Mo Child Support in Memphis, MO. Her phone number is 660-465-7246 for you to call her and verify what I am telling you is true.
She then ensured me that there had to be a mistake and
therefore called the person on the paper work (Dana Wood) in which I had received. Dana's number 217-785-2555 ext 3-9119
Kristin then called me back and said that the state of IL had my amount of payment incorrect and therefore she would send to them by fax the proof that I was not delinquent at all and the problem would be taken care of.
I borrowed money from my fiance to get my kids Christmas etc. My Christmas was the most degrading Christmas I have every had to endure.
I figured after the holiday the levy would be lifted and I could continue as usual. That did not happen. I called the state of IL myself after Christmas and was told I WAS behind $1,500 in support and they had every right to do what they were doing. I talked to a man named Shawn and he was very rude to me. He told me they sent me papers in Oct. Telling me that they were going to take this action and it was my fault not his.
I then called Kristin telling her waht he had said and she said if they had sent me any paperwork in Oct they too would have had record of it and this would have never went thid far.
The moral to this story is that the state of IL had no reason to take the action they did and they need to know that they can't treat good people bad.
There are a lot of BAD Parents out there!!! I have done everything to be a good parent and pay my support. Why not find someone that owes thousands of dollars and really do their job?
