TedUnlimited (www.tedunlimited.com) has an eBay store which offers approximately 40 items for sale on their website. TedUnlimited offers guaranteed low prices for these items and the phrases lowest price guaranteed, lowest pricing anywhere guarantee, 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, etc. Appear throughout the website on the homepage, store policies page, eBay item listing page, etc.
I purchased a Weider Platinum Crossbow home gym #WESY7873 from TedUnlimited at their eBay buy-it-now price of $794 plus $123 shipping and insurance for a total purchase price of $917. Approximately one hour after making the purchase, I found a significantly lower price for this same item. It was offered for $759 including shipping and handling. The non-member price for the Weider Platinum Crossbow home gym was $759 plus a 5% surcharge, for a total of $797. This price is $120 less than the price that TedUnlimited is selling the item for.
I contacted TedUnlimited and asked them to either match the price for the Weider Platinum Crossbow home gym or to cancel my eBay buy-it-now purchase transaction. TedUnlimited refused to match the low price and also refused to cancel my transaction. TedUnlimited stated that my price request does not meet the terms of our price matching policy.
My price request does in fact meet all terms of TedUnlimited's price matching policy:
An authorized dealer for the Weider Platinum Crossbow.
The conditions of sale are identical.
The item is in stock and is not a floor sample, open box, or refurbished.
The item price of $797 is not a members-only price. The new lower price of $630 is also not a members-only price.
The item listing and pricing are not a typographical error.
I notified TedUnlimited that my transaction with them was cancelled since they would not honor the original terms of the offer which included guaranteed lowest pricing and Guaranteed 100% customer satisfaction. TedUnlimited tried to coerce me into completing the transaction by threatening to file an unpaid item strike against me on eBay. I did not complete the purchase and have filed a complaint on eBay against TedUnlimited.
I am not the only person that has made a complaint to eBay regarding TedUnlimited's refusal to honor their guaranteed lowest prices price policy.
If you see an item on TedUnlimited's website that you're interested in buying, be sure to do a very thorough search of other websites before making the purchase from TedUnlimited.
TedUnlimited offers low prices, but when a buyer finds a lower price at another website, TedUnlimited is likely to refuse to match the lower price as they did in my situation. TedUnlimited appears to have a standard response of your price request does not meet the terms of our price matching policy and uses this standard response even when the lower price does in fact meet all conditions of their price matching policy.
