I ordered 5 Bridesmaid Dresses from http://www.etsy.com/people/VintageFashionRetro on December 19.
The dresses didn't come until April 8 and they were not at all what I had ordered. The sewing was erratic, small holes close to the seams, sizes were wrong and one dress, meant to be grey with capped sleeves, was BLUE with no sleeves.
I attempted to contact the seller several times and got no response. So I wrote a review, which caught the seller's eye immediately. She instantly contacted me asking me to resolve the isse through Etsy's "Kiss and Make Up" Option.in choosing to do so, it would delete my review. When I looked at the option - the seller had presented no resolution - just the suggestion to find one. I kindly asked that she come up with a reasonable resolution first before I accept the Kiss and Make Up option.
This is where things got ugly. It was clear that the seller only wanted me to accept the option so my review would go away. She made no effort in acknowledging my concerns and the apparent issues I had. When I sent her pictures, she said they weren't clear. She called me a liar and finally - after much back and forth told me that if I didn't remove the review, she would not give me my refund ($550) even if she received the dresses. At that point I decided to contact Etsy - They told me my "Ships On" date had past the 45 days they allow and basically I was SOL. The dresses were shipped on March 25... It's April 10.
I am now stuck with poorly made dresses, a seller who continues to harass me (she sends me messages talking about how her and her friends are all laughing at me) and when I ask her to remain professional she tells me she LOVES me (???) and that if I contact HER again she'll file it as harassment.
I have all of this well documented and Etsy has done nothing
