I went on line to get a 30 day free trail period to get my credit report. I openned and account with CreditCheck Monitoring Service membership with the assumption that I would not have to cancel for 30 days and that during the 30 days I would not be charged.
After I got into the membership I could not figure out how to get the credit report that I needed.
I clicked on the free credit report. I entered my credit card information because I knew that they would need it on file in case that I would have to be charged by going over the 30 days. I set up my fiance account and it asked the same questions. I went into the site and was in it less than 15 minutes.
I went into my banking on line because it charged me a dollar holding fee but it didn't charge me anything else. When I looked at my statement I was charged $44.95 right away and it was already reporting as taken the funds out of my account.
I called the customer service right away and they informed me that they could not reinburse me for that amount and that it was a one time charge. I feel that the site was completely uneasy to determine this information. I am very upset them and went ahead and canceled my membership. They should not be able to say something is free and then charge you a fee. Even so they site is made to take your money. Thanks Marc
