Ripoff, did not know I was purchasing, charged to my credit card w/o my approval consumer rip-off fraud

I received an invitation to view my free credit report. I was told about the credit monitoring service and asked for pertinent information. It was stated that I would not be charged anything for 30 days and could cancel after my free trial period of 30 days.

I received my charge acct statement and saw I had been charged 79.00 for the credit monitoring. I called the number provided and was told I had not called in the time frame specified and would have to pay the amount, but she would note account to cancel next year.
