After seeing an ad in Home Magazine, we contracted Coastal Improvement Corp. To remodel the kitchen in one of our rental properties this past summer. During our first meeting with a representive of the Company, Bruce Imhoff, the interior designer, we chose the granite and cabinet style and we were told tjere would be a choice of faucets to choose from. As it turned out we did not have a choice of faucets. The one he was installing was from "the lot the oompany purchased at a great price." We thought the faucet was overkill but was had no choice. We requested the return of our existing like new $175.00 Moen faucet upon completion.
As it turns out the job was far from perfect. The refrigerator door would not open, the wall on the pass - throuh window from the dining room to the kitchen was damaged by the granite installation, a cabinet drawer was not rebuilt as promised, the new faucet leaked and the old faucet was not returned. Some of these problems were addressed. We had to repair the wall ourselves.
After months. Still no faucet. Everytime we called Bruce, he was not available. We finally called Coastal Improvement Corp. Directly and spoke to the owner, Mr. Blank. At first he said he would take care of the problems and told us Bruce was out of town. After another month of waiting I called Mr. Blank this morning, January 2 and he told me that the return of the faucet was not written in the contract, Surprise, today according to the Company's website, the Company is closed. I assume that is not closed for the holdiays.
