I transferred my Citibank card charges to Discover Card in July. I also paid off the remaining amount that Discover did not cover. At that time my balance showed zero owed. Four months later, I get a bill stating that they will turn me over to a collection agency if I don't pay $107.38 within 10 days!
When I called to find out what this extra charge was for, I was told that it was the remaining finance charge for the payoff that occurred in July. They never informed me in writing until now (they said they sent me email messages on my email account—one which I closed off in July because I wanted no further dealings with them. This is not the first time that I have had disputes with this company. They are a rip-off extraordinaire outfit!
