Two months after purchasing my machine it clogged and would not work. I followed instructions to clean the upper needle with "paper clip" and it worked. Less than 2 weeks later I had the same problem and called customer service. They we not sympathetic to my frustration. She said I should be using the paper clip "every 2 weeks" to clean the needle since we make about 32 cups per week. She also said they recommend "shaking the pod" before putting it in the brewer. It seems unreasonable to be under the hood with a paper clip every 2 weeks to keep this thing running. I would not have purchased it if that standard of maintenance had been published.
