A strategy that worked for me when I received a bogus.$450.00 penalty from T-Mobile. [There are no guarantees to using this tact.] If you have an alternative to Time Warner in your area, go ahead and cancel! They will charge your credit card for the "early cancellation". When your credit card bill arrives, call them and contest the amount. You have no paper contract or documentation that you agreed to this penalty. THEY, too, cannot prove you signed anything! If your credit card is fair, they will reverse the charge. Important: Be sure to follow through with your credit cards paperwork. Complete the form they send you stating you never agreed to such a thing, never received an executed copy of such an agreement.in fact, you have never seen such a contract on their website. All was verbal and you don't agree with Customer Service's assertions. Good Luck
