When we first moved into the area, I called DirectTV and asked them several times if they had local channels in our area, and they said yes. I paid for all the equipment and everything, just to find out there were no local channels. I called and was told a date, the 15th of October. It was June when I had them installed. We waited all fall, missing all our favorite local channels. October 15 came and went. I called again, and they assured me it was coming and that they didn't know when.
Enough waiting. I called and cancelled in November and found local channels elsewhere. It is now April, and they finally cancelled and charged me a cancellation fee with four months of service ($349.00). They even took it off my credit card without authorization. Please be careful. Do not use DirectTV.
