I have been using Ticketmaster for some time now, and a few months ago I purchased tickets online. There was a link for a discount on my next purchase, so I clicked to see what it was. I did not agree to anything; I never sign up for any special savings things! Well, I was looking at my bank statement and noticed a charge of $7.00 every month from a company called Entertainment Rewards. When I called, they were very rude. I proceeded to try to get some answers about where they had found my info and debit info, and I was surprised to hear they were affiliated with Ticketmaster.
They refused to refund my money, saying there is a disclaimer. I am a smart girl, and there was no indication that I was signing up for this program when I went to that link! I finally got them to agree to cancel and refund my money. (However, I called a second time to be sure, and the second person said there was only a $7.00 refund scheduled!) I have at least 3 charges of $7.00! I did some investigating, and it turns out that there are hundreds of people reporting fraud from this company! All posts online had exactly the same experience I had.
When someone is purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster and there is a discount offer, the link should bring you to a page that clearly spells out that the discount is a program and that it is $7.00 a month! This is the biggest ripoff I have ever had! I cannot believe Ticketmaster would allow this company to steal from us!
