Beware! Ms. Teresa Murphy d.B.A. Sonshine the Clown and Sonshine the Clown Costumes Plus - Located in the Miami Beach area, Florida!
This lady sold items (mostly costume wear) on E-Bay and ripped off a lot of people!!! Many of the items sold on E-Bay were not even in her possession to sell.
Immediately after I sent her money, her feedback record began showing complaint after complaint.
I filed reports with E-Bay, Square Trade (mediation service) and PayPal (who handles payments from buyer to seller).
Several complaints were filed and E-Bay was compelled to eventually suspend her. Subsequently, PayPal ordered her to return my money.
I never received a return of my money, nor did my son ever get his costume. I contacted police, who, consequently, knew of Ms. Murphy on a personal level. Police reports were filed.
Many of the other buyers contacted me and we have discussed the various items and amounts which were taken. Most of these people never got anything!
However, I, as well as most decent Americans, cannot afford to go all the way to Florida to handle this through the legal system.
So basically, we have been ripped off and despite the many people who were robbed - no agency is willing to take appropriate action against her.
Ms. Murphy also works as a clown for hire (like that's a joke!) in the Miami Beach area. Beware!
