6,000 dollars of crap

In july i had heat and air system replaced by sears, by may or june system was having trouble keeping up. I thought it was the extreme heat that was causing the problem but it got worse. Finally about 14 months later i called customer service in early september. They sent out a service tech who said there was a leak in the a coil and would require replacement. Being under warranty, the part would be ordered and an installation tech would be out in a couple of weeks. Three weeks later i get a call from the appoimtment desk telling me the labor would cost over 800 dollars. Being in maintenance myself i know that this particular job wont take but about 2 hours real time. Being that i owe over six thousand on the new Kenmore system i became rather aggitated. You see it was my a coil on originl equipment that was leaking and was unable to replace because of change in refrigerant laws. I didnt buy extended warranty because the bill i was paying was already more than i could afford simply on a refrigerant law but i believed sears to be a reputible company, however i would now advise others to go elsewhere.
