We bought a Frigidaire heat pump & air handler on 11 Aug. On 24 June the evaporator coil was replaced because of a leak. On 22 Dec the evaportator coil was replaced again because of a leak.
On 14 Jan the outside condenser unit was replaced. Now the evaporator coil will have to be replaced for the third time because of a leak. This is three bad coils in less than 3 years.
I called Nordyne Customer Service and got the usual brush off. They won't pay for any of the service because I didn't buy a labor warranty. I feel they should be responsible for paying for an obviously defective product. So far I have had to pay $468 for service calls. I am facing a charge of $180 for the latest call plus whatever else I will have to pay when they come to replace the coil.
