I purchased a Trane heating and cooling complete system because it came with 10 year warranty from Trane. Less than 4 years and the AC crapped out. Service person reported zero refrigerant in system. Pressurized and vac tested, unable to find leak. Charged the system with over 6 lbs refrigerant. AC worked for a day and crapped out again. Service person once again could not find leak, but decided to spend time and kept searching.
The outside coil unit has a faulty design. A copper pipe rubs against the aluminum coil and ruptures the aluminum coil. Service person recommends Trane must replace entire defective outside unit. Only leaks when unit is running and VIBRATING, because the copper pipe is pressed against the aluminum pipe.
Trane refusing to replace entire unit. Will only replace coil. Spoke to New Jersey Trane Authorized Supplier, Wallwork. They are the rudest people I have ever encountered. They hung up on me 3 times. I called Trane Customer Relations and they are not interested in getting my faulty unit back to their engineers.
The entire outside unit was bought as a set and was factory assembled. Now Trane wants the service person to assemble the coil on my front lawn.
Trane sucks. I will never ever buy anything Trane ever again. I should have bought Carrier or even Rheem and I am sure I would be cool and comfortable today.instead I am sweating in dangerously high temperatures.
Do not buy trane.
